Living with obesity places you in the highest weight range, above what is deemed healthy. Being overweight also means your body weight is beyond a healthy range, but it is not as extreme as obesity. The level of carbon dioxide is high and oxygen is low in the blood for people with Obesity Hypoventilation syndrome, making the neurological system work slowly. Such a situation is also caused by obstructive sleep apnea.
Overweight or obese people are more likely to snore or suffer from an obstructive sleep disorder because of restricted airways. The reason for airway compression can be attributed to big tonsils, adenoids, or a long soft palate. This starts snoring. Snoring is mostly caused by obesity. This is because of the presence of neck fat in most cases.
