However, as technology is advancing more and more in our lives, the risk of becoming addicted to these devices is increasing. Set a time limit
It might seem challenging initially, but setting a limit will help you to break your screen addiction. Firstly, decide on the usage of screen limit per day, this can be anywhere from 15 minutes a day to 2 hours a day, it all relies on you. Once you are done with setting a daily limit, try it out for a week and then slowly extend that week into two, then a month, etc. After a while, you will start to lose the anxiety of not having your phone, and you will find other ways to consume your time.
If you are not completely ready to limit your screen usage completely, try just cutting off your social media for a while. Social media can get you stressed and can push you into spending hours mindlessly scrolling through feeds. Try removing your social media apps for a week, but you can still use your phone for other things like, calling, texting, or searching for things on the internet.
Find other ways to fill your time
Instead of sitting on your phone and scrolling Instagram or Facebook, you can try finding a hobby. Reading, playing sports, or even just leaving the house and roaming around your neighborhood or town are excellent ways of passing the time more constructively. If you want something to divert you from your phone withdrawal while you are working, you could simply use your earbuds and listen to a soothing podcast while we want to bypass the use of mobile phones.

Put your phone on charging in another room
Try charging your phone outside of your room. When we sleep with our phones within reach, it can be too attractive to pick it up and keep scrolling. Putting your phone in another room to charge takes away that urge to use your phone.
Turn off extra notifications
Notifications are great for telling us when something critical needs our attention. Unfortunately, most smartphone notifications are known spam from game apps or shopping apps. To stop your eyes from seeing your phone constantly and to stop your screen from lighting up, again and again, every few minutes, you can turn off all notifications except for essential ones like phone calls and messaging apps. This way you will still be informed of the important things while bypassing other notifications that could grasp your attention and set off your screen addiction.
Leave your extra devices at home
Instead of packing your tablet, laptop, or any other screen device before you head out for the day, choose to leave them at home. Leaving your devices at home will let you flee from the ongoing dependency on the screen you have.
