Sharing his audition experience, Shantanu says, “When I used to go to the auditions, people used to say that you are acting like TV. Although I did not understand this sense because acting is acting. Be it in any medium. Either I am doing right or wrong but I do not understand the tag of acting like TV and film. I did not forcefully go for auditions, earlier I used to inform them that I am from TV. Otherwise, no sense is made. There have been a lot of rejections. There have been many breakdown moments. But I never gave up. There has been constant support from my family. They never let me break.
It was like you were a part of a big show. You have represented the country in dance, yet why things are not working. I have been giving auditions since long back. I can’t even remember how many films I have auditioned for. On his plans, Shantanu says, I never thought that I would get a chance to work with Bhansali sir.
If I have to become an assistant, then I would be ready for that too. Since my film journey has started from here. I would like to work again. Other than that I can only wish. I want to work with all kinds of directors. I will endeavor to be a part of a good story and do challenging roles.
